What types of fillers are used at RiverwalkMD Aesthetics?

At RiverwalkMD, we use the Juvederm collection of fillers from Allergan as well as Restalyne, and Sculptra.

What areas can be treated with filler & what is the downtime?

As expected with any filler treatment, you may experience some mild swelling or bruising at the injection site that may last up to a week, but you can resume your regular activities immediately after treatment. The areas we typically treat with filler include: Facial lines and wrinkles, especially deep forehead lines, nasolabial folds, and marionette lines, sunken cheeks, appearance of “eye bags” due to volume loss, mild skin laxity on the cheek/jowl area, and thinning lips

How much does filler cost at RiverwalkMD Aesthetics?

Our fillers start at about $800 but we often have specials on packages of multiple syringes. For Juvederm products, we use the Alle rewards program.

How long does filler last?

Depending on the type of dermal filler used, the location of your injections, and your unique physiology, the results of Hyaluronic acid fillers including Juvederm generally last between 6-12 months. Radiesse® can last over a year, and Sculptra® can last up to two years.

How are Dermal Fillers different than Botox?

Not all wrinkles are caused primarily by repeated muscle action. The wrinkles in the lower part of your face can also be caused by a change in the shape of your face over time, in part through the loss of fat and collagen. Rather than reducing muscle movement, dermal fillers add volume to targeted spots to smooth wrinkles and add contour. Dermal fillers and Botox are often used in combination to achieve the best results. At the time of your treatment, our providers will review filler options and recommend a treatment plan that works for your goals and budget.
